Richmond, Va. (July 25, 2016) — HCA Virginia has announced that Jan Gannon, R.N., has been named the new chief nursing officer for Chippenham Hospital, effective Aug. 1.
“Jan has a proven track record of leading and positively impacting organizations in employee, physician and patient engagement, quality, service-line development and culture,” said Tim McManus, chief executive officer of Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals. “We look forward to working with her and are confident that she will further our hospital’s efforts in advancing patient care.”
Gannon has had extensive CNO experience in large organizations including St. Vincent Hospital and Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala. and Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Ga.
Some of her professional organizations include the American Association for Nurse Executives, the National Association of Healthcare Quality and Sigma Theta Tau – International Honor Society of Nursing.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
