Spinal surgery

When it comes to your spine, you only want the most experienced clinical teams working with you. That's what you get when you choose Chippenham as your hospital for spinal surgery. Chippenham is unique compared to other area hospitals because we’re known throughout central Virginia for treating complex spine issues that require the most experienced surgeons.

Bouncing between surgeons and hospitals can be a waste of time and money—especially when you’re told they can’t perform the spine surgery you need. At Chippenham, we pride ourselves on taking on even the toughest cases—with a keen eye toward returning you back to health.

Urological surgery

Chippenham's experienced urologists use the most effective, least invasive treatment options to treat urologic conditions. For urologic disorders that require surgery, our surgeons use the da Vinci® robot-assisted surgical tool, which requires only tiny incisions and can help spare surrounding nerves. Compared to traditional urologic surgeries, patients who undergo robotic surgery tend to experience a shorter hospital stay and can expect a speedier recovery.

Our endoscopic services

At Chippenham, we have dedicated endoscopy suites, which are separate from our traditional operating rooms. Our endoscopy suites are used to perform procedures, such as bronchial thermoplasty, cancer staging and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).

Endoscopy is a nonsurgical procedure used to examine a person's digestive tract. Using an endoscope, a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it, your doctor can view pictures of your digestive tract on a color TV monitor. The endoscope can either be inserted orally or rectally, depending on the part of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract that requires an exam. We provide both upper GI and lower GI endoscopy procedures.

Your comfort and safety are our main priorities. Please be assured that when you choose Chippenham for your endoscopy procedure, you’ve chosen the hospital with the experience, care and compassion you’re looking for. Our goal is to get you back on your feet and on the road to recovery.
